Government’s decision to give iPhone installments from January 12

The caretaker government has decided to give the iPhone on installments from January 12.

Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology Dr. Umar Saif while talking to journalists said that the federal government has addressed the long-standing demand of freelancers by enabling them to channelize remittances through the international gateway PayPal.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication announced that 5G will be launched in July next year and 300 MHz spectrum will be put up for auction.

Dr Umarsif said the Cabinet has approved the National Space Policy to allow private sector companies to use low-orbit satellites in space.

In response to a question, the caretaker federal minister said that the ministry will start another initiative from January 12, 2024, with the support of all other stakeholders of telecom companies, under which consumers will get the latest model phones on easy installments.

He further said that it is planned to offer iPhones in installments, in case of failure to pay installments Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Device Identification, Registration and Blocking Systems (DIRBS). will block the handset on pattern.
